National Puppy Day

According to Cute Overload, one of my favorite sites, it is National Puppy Day.  Personally I've never met a puppy I didn't adore. I want to adopt everyone I look at, forgetting they get big.  So in  honor of National Puppy Day, I've included a photo of the lovely Mandy taken New Years Day of 2011 by her breeder, Shirley. She was just a little bit then - about 6 weeks old.

Other things going on here -
~~ I have been contacted by the flooring company who won the bid and they will be here Monday, April 2nd to put down new carpeting in the living room and vinyl in the kitchen and dining area.  I can't wait to get rid of this nasty carpet!  I could have had them here this next week but I am trying to plan a day or two away and it is just easier to do it the following week.
~~ Still unsure where I will be going for my little trip away. Money and Mom are issues so it probably won't be overnight. I am going to board Mandy for the night though.  I'm toying with the idea of a Disney park or a day at the beach.
~~ I am taking a sabbatical from Face Book. I was on the computer, it seems constantly on the games and I just think I could make better use of my time. I tend to have a bit of an addictive personality and so with 4 farms on Farmville, a Garden in Time and so forth, had me very busy.  When a friend from church sent me an invite for Angry Birds on Face Book, that just set me over the edge!  The first day, I was at loose ends. I didn't know what to do with myself. It's amazing how much I'm getting done around the house! I'm going to get back to Face Book in a month or so. The games...I don't know.

Well, I'm hoping you all are having as lovely weather as I am here in Florida. We are already in the 80's in March. I just hope that this doesn't mean an uncommonly hot summer.

Have a good weekend!

  1. I know how exciting it is to get new flooring. Nothing worse than gross, old carpet. I so glad that you're enjoying retirement! I used to play City of Wonder and was spending too much time on that!
