Simple Woman's Day Book

FOR TODAY: February 27, 2012

Outside my window.... drizzly with a good chance of showers the rest of the day. My backyard is covered with robins and they are constantly chirping.

I am thinking.... trying to get things organized and old stuff weeding out. What do I keep and what do I let go.

I am thankful.... for the rain we have had the last couple of days. We need it.

In the kitchen.... thinking of making out weekly menus because I never know how to answer this question.

I am wearing.... jeans and a 3/4 length sleeve red top.

I am creating.... nothing at the moment.

I am going.... no special plans for this week except the usual grocery store stop.

I am wondering.... as I have been lately - when my move to Tennessee will be.

I am reading.... several things at the moment - my Bible, In The Footsteps of Jesus by Bruce Marchiano and Sister Chicks Go Brit

I am hoping.... for some clarity in my mind and spirit about this year and what will be going on.

I am looking forward to.... things eventually being settled in my life.

I am learning.... PATIENCE! and God's timing.

Around the house.... I hear Mom in the kitchen, Mandy barking at whatever goes by in front of the house and lots and lots of birds.

I am pondering.... too many things today to even list.

One of my favorite things.... hearing and watching birds.

A few plans for the rest of the week: some organizing and puttering around.

A peek into my day…

One of my azalea bushes in bud. I am so thankful to see this. Last year the bushes were full of buds but for some reason when they were just little buds, they all died and fell off the bush. I thought that perhaps the bush was a goner. But this year, they are healthy and about to be in full bloom.

Thank you, Peggy for hosting The Simple Woman's Day Book.  Join us!

  1. What a lovely daybook. You must live somwhere in the south? It is a bright but cold afternoon here in Minnesota. The thought of Robins chirping and things blooming brought me some cheer today.

    Blessings,

  2. Hello Melanie, I am out visiting blogs as I have restarted blogging again. I took quite a long break, but found I missed it and the wonderful friends you can make. I like the idea of a simple Woman's day book. I will return. You Aalea bush is beautiful! God Bless...

  3. Hi Melanie,
Your azalea looks sooooooo good. Love the color. No rain for us during the day but it finally caught up with us this evening. It's really pouring out there. Dahli always gets so scared and nothing I do seems to reassure her. Poor puppy.

Hope yours is a fun week. Hugz!!

  4. Hi Melanie, we got hail today and cooler temps. Only in the 50's today after a week of spring weather. We really need the rain too. I am glad you posted today. Come by and visit. Hugs

  5. Hi Melanie! It has been a while since I have been by for a visit! So busy these days. The birds are coming back to Missouri! There is lots of chirping this morning. It is supposed to be 60 today with rain tonight! I actually wore capris and a tshirt to work today! That is a hard lesson. One that I will be working on until the day I have that perfect body! We are weeding out the things in our closets now too. So much that needs to go. I feel "hope" when I see flowers in bloom! Thanks for sharing that!
