What makes Mandy bark.

The short answer to this question is .....

Just about everything!

But if you'd like the complete list, here it is.

  • doorbells
  • doorbells on TV
  • the electric hand mixer
  • vacuum cleaner
  • people walking by
  • dogs walking by
  • people walking dogs walking by
  • telephone ringing
  • telephone ringing on TV
  • cell phone ringing
  • taking the garbage bag out of the can
  • putting a new garbage bag in the can
  • the garbage truck
  • dogs barking
  • dogs barking on TV
  • the neighbors slamming their car door (or house door)
  • the microwave timer going of
  • when she wants to go outside
  • when she wants me to play with her
  • when she wants Mom to play with her
  • when she wants Tabbie (my cat) to play with her
As you can tell, it's not always a quiet house. At least I don't have to be concerned about a burglar sneaking up on  us. Mandy would probably hear him coming down the street.

Hi Melanie,
Mandy and Dahli must be cut from the same cloth. I knew that she was bred to guard the inside of the palace in Tibet but little did I know that she guarded outside too!

I love her anyway! and throw the penny can at her when she gets too carried away! It works!

Happy w/e, girlfriend. Hugz!

My Reina was a good little watch dog too when she was not sound asleep with me. I sure miss her. I understand you doing what you have to do and I made cut backs too and also got rid of our landline. The days are passing and I am glad you have the time to spend with your mom. I could not really talk with my mom the last few years of her life. I miss her voice but do have her recorded talking to Eddie when he was a baby. Have a great week. Hugs

Melanie, stopped by to visit after seeing your blog listed at Susan's Sayings. She is such a sweetheart.

I was reading the post about your dog and just chuckled. Our Mini Schnauzer is the same way! That list hit home. LOL!

I also read about your husband and I am so sorry. He was very young when he passed. I hope you don't mind, but I would like to place you on my blog list.

Blessings to you and will be praying for you through this season.
