I apologize that I seemed to be hibernating from blogging. It seems like since the first of the year, things have been so up in the air and busy and I haven't been able to sit and quiet my mind enough to write. Thank you to those of you who have been checking up on me to see if I'm still alive!
Things are progressing for Mom to move in with me. It's a difficult time emotionally for her but she sees the wisdom in making this move and I will be glad to have her here with me and safe. Her 30 year old mobile home is just not safe for her any longer with some soft flooring etc. She doesn't see the problem but she's lived with those circumstances for awhile and I guess it seems natural to her. The problem is getting what she wants to bring with her into my 2 bedroom house. I'm buying her a new recliner and a new bed since her old ones are - just that- old. I'm having to do a major rearranging of the furniture in my house and I lie awake at night trying to move things around in my mind. It's going to be quite a challenging next few months.
I've planned 3 days away for me in mid May - just to get away and relax. Not sure what I'm doing yet. Mom may be here with me by then but she will be okay to be alone. Or since, I'm taking the week off that week, I may move her in when I return.
I've got an appointment with my new doctor in June. I'm almost 100% positive that I am having thyroid issues which, I'm hoping, is why I'm so tired all the time. I don't think I've ever felt this low physically and it's depressing.
I'm going to visit some of you now and see what's going on in your lives. I'm hoping to be back to blogging more often shortly when the dust settles. Take care.

I'm sorry....
Well, here I am, negligent with my posting and visiting. Sorry to have drifted from sight. I guess I just didn't feel much like blogging and with all the stuff going on here - I just couldn't find a moment when the mood and timing was just right.
Mike and Steph are now safely tucked into their apartment in Tennessee. They packed up Monday and were gone that night. The house certainly felt empty for a few nights but I've adjusted once again. The week before they left, I took a couple of extra days off so that we could do some things.
On Wednesday, March 3rd, we all went to St. Augustine. That day marked the 9th year from when Alan died and, as I had mentioned before, this year was particularly difficult for some reason. We had a good day and Mike and I reminisced about his dad and we laughed. Friday, we all went to Disney World - Stephanie's sister and BIL, her mom, Mike and I. Also along was her cousin, a very important member of the party because he works at Disney and was able to get us in free. That was very nice. It was a long day and I was exhausted when it was over.
This last week, when I went back to work, I caught a cold and was home sick for 2 days (Wednesday and Thursday). Thursday (one of my sick days) we had really bad storms and were under a tornado warning for most of the day. A couple of tornadoes were sighted in a town about 2 miles away but we just got a lot of rain and wind.
Then last night, I ate some chicken that was a bit greasy. I hadn't meant it to be like that but it was cooked and I hadn't done my grocery shopping yet - so I ate it. And so, last night I was awake a good deal of the night with stomach discomfort and nausea.
This morning, I'm taking it easy. I really need to go grocery shopping but just don't feel up to even making out a grocery list. At least the sun is shining and the temps are pleasant. So we'll see....
Well, that's the up to the minute news. I guess I could tell you more but I'm running out of steam. I'm off to visit you all now. Hope your day is lovely.
